DESCRIPTION:
Provides administrative, clerical, and operational support to radiologists and the Radiology Department. Responsible for coordinating daily office activities, managing communications, maintaining records, scheduling and coordinating meetings and assignments, preparing documents, and assisting with departmental workflow. Serves as a key liaison between radiologists, hospital staff, physicians, patients, and other departments while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Physical Effort: Prolonged sitting at computer workstation(front desk). Able to lift light objects frequently; perform moderately difficult manipulative skills and hand-eye coordination skills; sit for prolonged periods; see objects closely; and hear normal sounds with some background noises. Office setting, worker must adjust to performing routine, repetitive tasks under specific supervision. Worker will be performing at main radiology front desk. Employee may constantly be exposed to electromagnetic radiation as in CRT’s (VDT’s).
Mental Effort: Able to concentrate on detailed work for prolonged periods of time. Able to adjust routine to accommodate patient or department without affecting departmental flow. Position requires ability to concentrate on moderate detail with constant interruption and attend to tasks for less than 10 minutes at a time. Individual must be able to understand and relate to specific ideas generally, several at a time and be able to communicate verbally using standard high school level vocabulary.
