Thisiscny in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Staff Assistant 2 in Radiology to support billing, scheduling, and administrative workflows. You will analyze OP admits for ABN waivers, pre-authorizations, referrals, and ensure accurate insurance demographics and medical necessity for documentation and coding.

You will interact with referring physicians, patients, hospital staff, and MSG staff to obtain quality information at scheduling or before exams, assist with pre-authorization, and coordinate

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 2 years of administrative experience or equivalent.
• Coursework in Medical Terminology, Medical Coding, or Medical Assistant programs.

Responsabilités

• Analyze OP admits for billing requirements including ABN waivers, pre-authorizations, referrals, and correct insurance demographics for documentation and coding.
• Interact with referring physicians, patients, hospital and MSG staff to obtain quality demographic and clinical information at scheduling or prior to exam orders.
• Assist with pre-authorization and coordinate pre-registration requirements with Patient Access Services.
• Conduct ongoing internal audits and maintain all documentation.
• Review insurance denials, identify problem areas and coordinate corrective actions.
• Review orders for appropriate clinical indications and provide ICD-10 coding.
• Monitor new billing/compliance regulations for Hospital and MSG operations and charging issues.
