Job summary

VA Maryland Health Care System Imaging Service encompasses three facilities with a broad range of radiology services and teaching affiliations. The radiologist will interpret studies, oversee image quality, supervise trainees, and lead clinical workflows across modalities including CT, MRI, US, and nuclear medicine.

Qualifications

  • Interpreting imaging studies and performing image-guided procedures as defined by privileges.
  • Oversight of image quality, medication/contrast administration, and QA activities.
  • Teaching and supervising trainees rotating through Imaging Service.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret imaging studies and perform image-guided procedures per privileges.
  • Review exam requests, prescribe protocols, and ensure image quality.
  • Lead operational workflows and provide clinical oversight in care delivery.
  • Engage in departmental meetings and multidisciplinary conferences.
  • Collaborate with clinical providers to coordinate patient-centered care.
