Job summary

Mercor is seeking board-certified radiologists to join a non-clinical role developing and evaluating clinical AI in medical imaging. You will apply diagnostic expertise to annotation, reference-report authoring, and evaluation against standards.

This is a shared expert pool with flexible throughput targets; you may be matched to multiple workstreams based on subspecialty and availability. No live patient care is involved.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completed diagnostic radiology residency.
• Board certification — ABR, or equivalent, or board-eligible with residency completed.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in your country of practice.
• 2+ years post-residency reading independently.
• Current or recent practice with high-volume independent reads.
• Structured reporting standards knowledge (BI-RADS, LI-RADS, Lung-RADS, TI-RADS).
• Written and spoken English fluency.
• Minimum 15 hours per week with flexible hours for time-boxed streams.

Responsibilities

• Case interpretation with written reasoning, recording diagnostic steps.
• Structured finding labelling with presence, location, laterality, severity, and change.
• Reference report authoring to ground truth for evaluation.
• Output review to flag hallucinated or missed findings.
• Grading criteria and guideline authoring for consistent judgments.
• Difficult-case writing to probe model reasoning limits.
