Job summary

Mercor is seeking board-certified radiologists to contribute to non-clinical work evaluating and developing clinical AI systems in medical imaging. You will perform annotation, reference-report authoring, and evaluation to set the standards these models use.

This is a shared expert pool, with no direct patient care or live diagnosis. You may be matched to multiple streams based on your subspecialty, availability, and interest, and can move between tracks as priorities shift.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with diagnostic radiology residency required
• Board certification by ABR or equivalent, or board-eligible with residency complete
• Active, unrestricted medical license in country of practice
• 2+ years post-residency reading independently
• Record of high-volume independent reads
• BI-RADS, LI-RADS, Lung-RADS, TI-RADS, etc. familiarity
• Written and spoken English fluency
• Minimum 15 hours per week, with flexible intensity when stream is time-boxed

Responsibilities

• Case interpretation with written reasoning and step-by-step diagnostic thought
• Structured finding labelling with location, laterality, severity, and interval change
• Reference report authoring as ground truth for evaluation
• Output review of AI reads against clinical standards; flagging errors
• Grading criteria and guideline authoring to standardize evaluations
• Difficult-case writing to probe model reasoning limits
