Job summary

The Virginia Department of Emergency Management is seeking a Radiological Training and Exercise Coordinator to administer and manage the REP training and exercise program, developing plans at state-wide levels.

You will lead design, delivery, management, and evaluation of trainings and exercises, ensure compliance with regulations, and coordinate with partners such as North Anna Power Station and Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of exercise planning methodology.
• Ability to manage all phases of project planning and implementation.
• Working knowledge of Virginia local and state government organization and operations.
• Proficient in tracking corrective actions and producing clear, accurate technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Administer and perform program management for the Radiological Emergency Preparedness (REP) Training and Exercise Program.
• Lead design, development, delivery, management, and evaluation of REP trainings, exercises, and projects.
• Coordinate exercises with external facilities and partners and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support readiness assessments for radiological emergencies across agencies at statewide levels.
