Job summary

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) seeks a Radiological Protection Specialist in Aiken, SC to support training, onboarding, and mentoring of radiological protection personnel at the Savannah River Site. The role involves coaching, classroom and field instruction, and enforcing safety and regulatory standards across departments.

The position emphasizes OJT, proficiency testing, and incident review, with opportunities to lead improvements and coordinate with SRMS Radiological Protection

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Radiological Protection or related field and experience.
Flexible schedule to provide off-shift observations, coaching, and support.
Familiarity with SRS Radiological Protection practices and policies.

Responsibilities

Upgrades the quality of the radiological protection program and trains inspectors and managers.
Mentors and coaches personnel during instruction periods and field activities.
Observes performance and identifies areas for development in training and drills.
