Job summary

Spectra Tech, Inc. seeks Level 4 Radiological Control Technicians for opportunities in Berkeley, CA. The right candidate will have extensive RCT experience, DOE CORE qualification, and the ability to work in alpha research environments and DOE facilities.

  • At least 10 years in an RCT role with prior DOE CORE RCT qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Support DOE facility operations and instrumentation handling.
  • Move instrumentation and neutron instruments ~20 lbs as needed.
  • Participate in alpha research or production facility activities.

Spectra Tech, Inc. is immediately seeking Level 4 Radiological Control Technicians (RCTs) for opportunities in Berkeley, CA.


Position Overview

The right candidate will need to have experience of alpha research or production facilities. Accelerator experience would be a bonus, but not required.


Prior DOE experience is a necessity where this position will be supporting a DOE facility.


Education & Experience


  • High School Diploma

  • Level 4 requires 10 years of experience

  • Seeking 10 years of RCT experience and 3 years of DOE experience

  • Candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in an RCT role where they have previously been DOE CORE RCT qualified


Requirements


  • Prior DOE experience

  • DOE CORE must be current

  • Able to move approximately 20 lbs. of equipment

  • Experience with alpha research or production facilities

  • Accelerator experience is a bonus, but not required

  • Candidates will need to be able to move instrumentation around, including some of the neutron instruments which are approximately 20 lbs.
