The Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) role is for a Radiological Control Technician II within the Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) organization. The position emphasizes radiological surveys, monitoring, and strict adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in field related to the position or High School diploma plus 2 years’ progressive related experience.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment on a wide variety of tasks is critical.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook. Must be able to wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Assists in studies to formulate, determine and evaluate design criteria for structures, systems, and equipment.
• Under supervision, perform radiological surveys and monitor radiological conditions and work practices.
• Verify radiological instrumentation prior to use (air sampling, dose rate meters, contamination monitors).
• Post radiological signs to ensure worksites are identified to prevent unauthorized access.
• Maintain records for radiological surveys and other job activities.
• Follow radiological work permits, work packages, and procedures.
