Radiologic Technologist, $10K Sign On Bonus

Experience and Education

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT (R) required.
• Licensed by Texas Medical Board (TMB) as a Medical Radiologic Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC), required by first day of employment.
• Associates degree in Radiologic Sciences or graduation from an AMA-approved school.

Fri-Mon, 9PM-7:30AM

Job Duties

1. Review physician orders for accuracy and appropriateness, communicate with radiologists, and document changes in the electronic health record. Ensure resources like nursing, anesthesia, and scheduling are prepared.
2. Interview patients, obtain medical history, explain procedures, and instruct on requirements. Monitor for adverse reactions and activate emergency codes if needed.
3. Assist physicians during diagnostic procedures, ensure proper documentation, and perform procedures accurately and timely, following age-specific criteria.
4. Complete exam charges and documentation, ensure radiation safety per ALARA, assist patients, and communicate effectively regarding the procedures.
5. Perform QC testing, report system issues, and maintain safety and quality control protocols, including lifting requirements.
6. Respond professionally to inquiries, participate in codes and rapid responses, and adhere to organizational behaviors like PACT and AIDET.
7. Communicate shift hand-offs, participate in training, and collaborate within the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.
8. Prioritize and schedule exams to optimize workflow and minimize wait times, including handling stat requests.
9. Follow hospital policies, comply with regulations, and manage resources responsibly.
10. Maintain patient confidentiality and security of workstations.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
