Job summary

Monroe Community College is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technology tutor to support students in mastering key concepts and clinical skills. Tutors provide targeted assistance, adapt to different learning styles, and help students progress toward independence as confident, self-directed learners within the RT program.

Responsibilities include drop-in and scheduled sessions, collaboration with faculty, and ongoing professional development. Availability for multiple days per week is required.

Qualifications

• Must be available for times listed weekly.
• Fair to excellent academic record as MCC graduate.
• Advanced imaging knowledge or education experience is a plus.
• Must have ARRT certification and NYS RT license.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in radiologic technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject-specific content to help students through scheduled or drop-in assistance.
• Recognize different learning styles and student preferences.
• Create a professional and welcoming environment respecting diverse cultures and languages.
• Use active listening to tailor tutoring content and pace.
• Document and communicate student progress with faculty.
• Contribute to professional development and reflection within the RT program.
• Support students to become independent, self-directed learners.

MCC graduate with >3 years since graduation with advanced degree or relevant imaging experience
