Qualifications

• Active Connecticut Radiologic Technologist license.
• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program and registered as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Preferred: orthopedic, musculoskeletal or outpatient imaging experience.
• Preferred: experience documenting within an EMR or EHR system.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures for orthopedic injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Position patients properly to produce accurate, clinically useful images.
• Screen patients for precautions or contraindications before imaging.
• Explain procedures, answer questions and help patients stay comfortable.
• Maintain, clean and disinfect radiographic equipment.
• Provide regional office coverage when needed based on staffing requirements.

Radiology is integrated directly into the patient’s orthopedic visit. You are not taking images without context and sending the patient into the hospital maze—you are helping an orthopedic team diagnose an injury and move the treatment plan forward.

This is an established organization with in-office X-ray, advanced imaging, physical therapy, walk-in orthopedic care and outpatient surgery. In other words, bones, joints and muscles are not one small department here. They are the entire point.
