Qualification Requirements
  • Twelve (12) months of recent experience performing similar services in a public or private institution. Internship does not count.
  • Current certification in good standing from the California Department of Health Services as a CRT, with venipuncture and fluoroscopy permits if applicable.
  • Valid license and additional modality licenses (e.g., mammogram, CT/MRI) as required by California law. Ultrasound Technicians must be ARDMS certified.
  • Compliance with 8 CCR 5199 standards for N95 and PAPR respiratory protection, including medical clearance and training.
  • Proficiency in English to communicate effectively with CDCR/CCHCS staff.
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and process X-Ray exposures following protocols.
  • Consult with Radiologists or providers as needed.
  • Provide emergency support during medical emergencies.
  • Properly identify and label images, maintain equipment, and ensure safety standards.
  • Perform radiographic examinations, including with contrast media, and maintain records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, maintaining professional relationships and practicing safety protocols.
