Job summary

American Family Care (AFC) is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and diagnostic imaging procedures, assist physicians, and support front-desk duties as needed. The role requires patient interaction with compassionate communication and strict adherence to ALARA radiation safety practices.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, image processing, equipment operation, and maintaining documentation. State licensure and ARRT/M.A.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• ARRT registration or board eligibility preferred; state license required.
• Licensure or certifications vary by state; MA, LPN, EMT/Paramedic may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain procedures with compassion.
• Position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques.
• Process images and prepare for physician review.
• Utilize digital and non-digital imaging equipment per policies.
• Assist provider with prescribed patient treatments as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and log work activities.
• Serve as Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant when required.
