Job summary

RES Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to produce high-quality diagnostic images and support interventional procedures. You will work with physicians, operate C-Arm fluoroscopy, and ensure imaging safety.

The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with ARRT-R certification and NYSDOH license. Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with benefits including health insurance and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R) required
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist by NYSDOH required
• Minimum 1 year Radiologic Technologist experience preferred
• Experience operating a C-Arm preferred
• Some CT experience preferred
• Experience with MEDENT EHR preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging following safety and quality standards
• Assist providers during fluoroscopic C-Arm procedures and other image-guided interventions
• Prepare patients for imaging by explaining the process and addressing questions
• Properly position patients to obtain high-quality images
• Safely operate, monitor, and maintain radiographic and C-Arm equipment
• Prepare procedure rooms and ensure equipment and supplies are available
• Monitor patients during procedures and communicate with providers
• Document imaging procedures in MEDENT EHR
• Follow radiation safety protocols for patients, providers, and staff
• Maintain imaging equipment and report maintenance concerns
• Collaborate with providers, assistants, and administrative staff for coordinated care
• Contribute to a positive, professional, patient-centered environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job description

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images while providing an exceptional patient experience from start to finish. This role works closely with physicians during interventional procedures, operates C-Arm fluoroscopy equipment, and ensures imaging is performed safely, accurately, and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging while following established safety and quality standards.
• Assist providers during fluoroscopic C-Arm procedures and other image-guided interventions.
• Prepare patients for imaging and procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and helping them feel comfortable throughout their visit.
• Properly position patients to obtain accurate, high-quality diagnostic images.
• Safely operate, monitor, and maintain radiographic and C-Arm equipment.
• Prepare procedure rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Monitor patients during procedures and communicate effectively with providers regarding patient needs.
• Accurately document imaging procedures and clinical information within the MEDENT electronic health record.
• Follow radiation safety protocols for patients, providers, and staff.
• Maintain imaging equipment and report maintenance or operational concerns as needed.
• Collaborate with providers, medical assistants, and administrative staff to provide efficient, coordinated patient care.
• Contribute to a positive, professional, and patient-centered clinical environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

License/Certification Required

• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R)
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH)
• Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
• Experience operating a C-Arm is preferred.
• Some Computed Tomography (CT) experience is preferred and candidates with CT exposure are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Experience with MEDENT electronic health records is preferred.

Compensation

• Pay Range: $37.00 - $42.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability.
