Tasks and Responsibilities
- Operate and manage the acquisition of X‑ray images utilizing portable digital radiography (DR) or computed radiography (CR) systems, ensuring timely submission to radiologists for diagnostic interpretation.
- Transport and set up portable X‑ray equipment within healthcare facilities to conduct examinations as directed by physicians, with the primary goal of producing clinically diagnostic and technically sound images.
- Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) when necessary, ensuring accurate transmission to cardiologists for analysis.
- Regularly digitize and archive examination‑related documentation and billing records in compliance with established protocols on a daily basis.
- Maintain consistent communication with dispatch personnel and management to coordinate schedules and address operational needs.
- Demonstrate professional interaction with colleagues, supervisory staff, and patients to uphold high standards of service.
- Ensure proper maintenance and operational readiness of both the vehicle and X‑ray equipment to guarantee safety and effectiveness.
- Uphold all state licensing and ARRT certification requirements, along with health and operational standards to maintain compliance.
- Possess a valid driver’s license within the state of operation, ensuring it remains in good standing at all times.
