Job Summary: Assists in performing endovascular surgical procedures by utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques, ensuring age-appropriate practices and adherence to standards. Demonstrates expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to patients and staff.
Education/Experience: Associate's degree or Two-Year Professional Program from an approved Radiologic Technology school. Completion of Special Procedures Training or one year of experience in Special Procedures. One-week sterile technique training provided by OR education coordinator.
Licensure/Certification: Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required. CPR certification required. ARRT-CV and ACLS certifications preferred.
Essential Functions:
Skills & Qualifications: Good communication skills, ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, navigate multiple systems, training skills, knowledge of vascular anatomy.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Exposure to infections, bloodborne diseases, chemicals, low-level radiation, and unpredictable situations. Long hours possible. Use of protective equipment required. Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, dexterity, talking, hearing, seeing, and lifting up to 100 lbs.
