Job description

We Are Hiring
  • Sign-on Bonus: $10,000
  • Department: Electrophysiology
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am - 5pm (4x10 hour shifts). One late shift rotation per week required to cover cases running after 5pm. No on-call, nights, weekends, or holidays.
  • Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent Hospital
  • Location: Indianapolis, IN

This RT position is for a busy and growing EP Lab.

Previous procedural lab experience is a plus but not required. We are accepting new grads for this RT position. BLS certification is required, may be obtained during orientation if not currently held. Valid Indiana license and ARRT certification are required.

What You Will Do

Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.

  • Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable regulations.
  • Observe patient during procedures and report abnormal activity. Monitor protocols and suggest updates as needed.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular, and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures, assisting the Radiologist/PA.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory standards.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire or transfer. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following:
    • Cardiographic Tech credential from CCI obtained prior to hire.
    • ARRT Radiologic Technologist credential obtained within 6 months of hire.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of relevant experience.
Additional Preferences

Ascension St. Vincent Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma center offering 24-hour emergent treatment for MI, stroke, and trauma. We are expanding to a new Brain and Spine Hospital with neuro suites. We welcome applicants with radiologic tech experience and new graduates.

Pay is commensurate with experience
