Novant Health Urgent Care, part of the Novant Health family, is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to operate radiographic equipment and produce images to assist providers. The role includes triage and rooming patients, taking vitals, reviewing history, and summarizing the reason for visit.

Qualifications

• 1-year degree in Radiographic technology is required.
• Current SC license for radiographic technology is required.
• Limited Practice Radiographer-General Certification accepted.
• Healthcare Provider CPR certification required.
• Trained in OSHA/HIPAA compliance.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and weekends.
• Willingness to work at other centers as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to reflect our mission, vision, and values through actions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for center cleanliness and positive customer service.
• Prepares patients for radiological procedures and protects against radiation hazards.
• Maintains records including patient records, daily logbooks, and monthly reports.
• Cleans, maintains, and makes minor adjustments to radiographic equipment.
• Answers calls and schedules appointments as needed.
• Relays physician messages and diagnostic test results to patients.
• Informs providers of abnormal labs/tests.
• Cleans exam rooms and equipment between visits; maintains infection control.
• Communicates with front staff on patient flow and wait times.
• Recognizes patient distress and acts accordingly.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information per Federal guidelines.
