Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or registry eligible—obtain within 90 days of hire date, preferred; obtain registration within one year of hire date, required.
• New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy license—current; license within one year of graduation.
• CPR certification must be acquired and maintained within three months of hire date and maintained bi-annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform all routine radiographic procedures and assist in fluoroscopy.
• Position patients correctly and select appropriate technique; ensure proper image identification and documentation.
• Explain examination procedures to patients and families; greet and verify patient identity.
• Receive requisitions, verify instructions, and confirm clinical history with the requesting physician.
• May inject contrast media under direction of a Radiologist, with demonstrated training and competency.

Education

Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology

ARRT registration or registry-eligible

NH Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy license

CPR certification (within 3 months of hire and maintained bi-annually)
