Job summary

Rhode Island Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures in a professional, patient-centered environment. You will position patients, operate x-ray equipment, and ensure image quality while following ALARA safety standards.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians in specialized exams, using protective shielding, and maintaining accurate records. A two-year radiologic technology program and ARRT licensure are required, with Rhode Island licensure active.

Qualifications

• Registration through ARRT is required (state license where applicable).
• Two years of formal training in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Current and valid license to practice in Rhode Island.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and instruct for proper exposure.
• Protect non-target areas with lead shielding per safety standards.
• Operate x-ray equipment per diagnostic protocol and maintain film quality.
• Prepare syringes/contrast media for specialized examinations under physician direction.
• Ensure correct requisitions and patient identification for records.
