Job summary

Optum NY in Jericho, NY seeks a Radiology Technologist to join an urgent care team. The role involves performing diagnostic X-ray examinations, quality assurance, and supporting patient care on site at 555 N Broadway, Jericho, NY.

You will work with EMR documentation, handle lab-related tasks, and assist with MA duties as needed. NYS licensure and ARRT registration are required, along with customer service and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited radiology technologist program.
• NYS radiology licensure and ARRT registration.
• Customer service experience and solid computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic x-ray examinations.
• Performs radiology quality assurance.
• Takes vital signs, performs EKGs and assists providers with patient care.
• Prepares exam rooms and x-ray room for patients and documents patient encounters in EMR.
• Performs lab testing and quality assurance.
• Prepares and tracks specimens sent to lab.
• Perform MA duties as needed.
• Restocks and maintains inventory of exam rooms, lab and storage rooms.
• Places outgoing phone calls to patients for follow up care and handles incoming phone calls from patients.
• Assists with other tasks as assigned.
