Job summary

Optum is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our Jericho, NY team in urgent care. The role involves performing diagnostic x-ray exams, quality assurance, and supporting patient care with EMR documentation.

You will contribute to a patient-centered team, take vital signs, and assist providers while ensuring compassionate service. This position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited radiology technologist program.
• NYS radiology licensure and ARRT registration.
• Customer service experience and solid computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic x-ray examinations.
• Performs radiology quality assurance.
• Takes vital signs, performs EKGs and assists providers with patient care.
• Prepares exam rooms and x-ray room for patients and documents patient encounters in EMR.
• Performs lab testing and quality assurance.
• Prepares and tracks specimens sent to lab.
• Perform MA duties as needed.
• Restocks and maintains inventory of exam rooms, lab and storage rooms.
• Places outgoing phone calls to patients for follow up care and handles incoming phone calls from patients.
• Assists with other tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications
