Job summary

Medical City Decatur is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for a Seasonal PRN role. The position pays $45 per hour plus differentials and requires a commitment to a 32-week program from September 20, 2026, to April 3, 2027.

Staffing may involve floating within a close geography and performing a minimum of 72 hours per pay period. The candidate should have an ARRT-R radiography credential or RT radiologic technologist/radiographer status, with an associate degree or vocational school graduate

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (ARRT-R) Radiography
• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer, or Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate
• Medical Radiologic Technologist license (TMB)
• 1 year experience preferred
• C-Arm, Fluoroscopy, Portable, and Surgery

Responsibilities

• Performs quality Radiologic procedures, follows physician’s orders, and delivers quality patient care
• Participates in call/holiday coverage and maintains competencies
• Participates in equipment QC and completes all records and documentation
• Practices radiationsafety and contributes to department initiatives

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

• All seasonal are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.
• Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need.
• Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period.
• During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee).
• Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital.
• Seasonal Staff willnotbe eligible for extra shift bonuses (D1/CND or D2/ECD)
• Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation.
• Current employees of HWS arenot eligiblefor the seasonal program.
• Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs quality Radiologic procedures, follows physician’s orders, practices quality patient care, exercise excellent customer service,participatesincall/holiday coverage,maintainscompetencies and current knowledge of procedures,participatesin equipment Q.C., completes all records and documentation, practices radiationsafety, involvedin department initiatives.
