Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience as a radiologic technologist preferred.

**Radiologic Technologist**

**Radiologic Technologist – Radiology Department**

**Work location:** Texas Health Denton: 3000 N I-35 Denton, TX 76201

**Work hours:** PRN Shift; Rotating Call

**Department Highlights:**

**Here’s What You Need:**

Education
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology upon hire required, or
  • Associate's Degree preferred
  • Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
Experience
  • 1 year radiologic technologist experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
  • CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (by TDH or TMB) upon hire required
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, 6 months required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support, prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

**What You Will Do:**

Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing
  • Explain procedures to patients or guardians/family prior to exams
  • Position patients appropriately
Patient Care
  • Use multidisciplinary, team-oriented actions
  • Assess and recognize patients' emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions
Equipment Operation and Maintenance
  • Adjust technical factors
  • Operate and maintain equipment
Professional Accountability and Partnership
  • Maintain and enhance technical skills and stay updated with technology
  • Perform any necessary assignments as directed by supervisor
