Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. You will perform diagnostic imaging exams, adhere to safety protocols, and ensure image quality while providing patient comfort and education.

The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure if applicable, and BLS. You will work in a fast-paced imaging department, collaborating with radiologists and care teams to deliver accurate results and outstanding patient care.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• Radiologic technologist license in state of practice (if applicable).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality.
• Assists and instructs students and other Radiology Techs in exam protocols, positioning, and equipment.
• Provides patient education, ensures comfort, and addresses concerns.
• Follows infection control and sterile techniques.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.
