Job summary

The Radiologic Technologist at South Texas Spine & Surgical Hospital collaborates with the Radiology Director to prepare patients for radiographic examinations and to produce diagnostic X-rays while minimizing radiation exposure.

Candidates must graduate from a Radiologic Technology program, hold Texas licensure, ARRT registration, and BLS within 30 days; strong teamwork and English communication required; some experience under a board-certified radiologist preferred.

Qualifications

  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Graduation from Radiologic Technology program
  • Licensed by the Texas Medical Board
  • ARRT registration
  • BLS required within 30 days of hire
  • 1 year of experience under a Board-C Certified Radiologist; 2 years preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for radiographic examinations.
  • Produce radiographs to aid diagnosis.
  • Minimize patient exposure to radiation.
  • Safely operate C-Arm and portable X-ray equipment.
  • Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and professional conduct.
  • May work between hospital and outpatient department as needed.
