Job Description - RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST PER DIEM (Temple/Chestnut Hill Hospital) (246417)
The Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures, producing images for the interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. Radiographers must demonstrate an understanding of the human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. They must maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique and knowledge of radiation protection and safety. Radiographers prepare, administer, and document activities related to contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations or institutional policy. They must remain sensitive to the physical, cultural, and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills.

BLS Certification
RT (R) (ARRT) or Certification eligible technologists hired upon graduation must be certified and registered within 12 months of the graduation date to remain employed. The first attempt to certification must take place within 3 months of their graduation date.
