Job Description - RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST I - (Temple/Chestnut Hill Hospital - 36 hrs weekends 7p-7a) (246500)
The Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures, producing images for the interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. Radiographers demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. They must maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique, as well as knowledge of radiation protection and safety. Radiographers prepare, administer, and document activities related to contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and institutional policy. They remain sensitive to the physical, cultural, and emotional needs of the patient through excellent communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills.

Relevant Experience
RT (R) (ARRT) or ARRT eligible technologists hired upon graduation must be certified and registered within 12 months of the graduation date. The first attempt to certification and registration must take place within 3 months of their graduation date. BLS Certification is also required.
