Job summary

Good Samaritan University Hospital, part of Catholic Health, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs and assist in fluoroscopy while ensuring patient safety and image quality.

Responsibilities include evaluating patient status, selecting proper equipment, and delivering care across hospital departments. Requires ARRT registration, NYS DOH Radiology license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited two-year radiologic technology program.
  • ARRT registration and NYS DOH Radiology license required.
  • BLS required - American Heart Association only accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Make decisions and select equipment and technique for radiographs.
  • Evaluate patient condition to assist in emergency treatment.
  • Provide age-appropriate patient care and growth/development considerations.
  • Perform radiographic procedures with independent judgment to obtain high-quality images.
  • Assist physician during fluoroscopy and maintain sterile technique.
  • Perform radiographs in OR, ER, portables, EP Lab, and inpatient/outpatient areas.

Job Details
Responsibilities
  • Must be able to make decisions and use judgment regarding selection of equipment and best technique in process of productions of radiographs
  • Must be able to evaluate patient's condition in order to assist in emergency treatment
  • Assessment and patient care responsibilities are delivered with knowledge of patient growth and development and are appropriate to the ages of the patients served
  • Perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for good high-quality images
  • Assists physician during fluoroscopy procedures and practices sterile technique and prevents cross-contamination when necessary
  • Performs various types of radiographs from all areas within the hospital, i.e., OR, ER, portables, EP Lab, outpatient/inpatient
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited two-year program in radiologic technology
  • ARRT registration and NYS DOH Radiology license required
  • BLS required- American Heart Association only accepted.
Salary Range

USD $55.56 - USD $55.56 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
