Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Radiologic Technologist who will perform radiographs using multiple systems and serve as the first point of contact for patients. The role requires graduation from an approved Radiology Technology program, ARRT certification within 3 months of graduation, and Illinois IEMA licensure with a possible temporary license for new grads.

Essential duties include patient preparation, image quality, PACS operation, and collaboration with radiologists.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of Radiology Technology.
• ARRT certification within 3 months of graduation; new grads may need a College Certificate of Completion.
• State of Illinois radiation license (IEMA) required; temporary license for new grads valid for two years.
• CPR – Basic Life Support

Responsibilities

• Capable of taking radiographs with various equipment; act as first point of contact with patients.
• Instruct and prepare patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic exams.
• Produce high quality films consistently.
• Utilize PACS with minimal errors and manage imaging procedures efficiently.
• Access Pyxis medications and coordinate with physicians as needed.
• Practice aseptic technique and multitask across areas as required.
