Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic, portable, C-arm and fluoroscopic procedures, prioritizing patient safety and high-quality imaging.

The role includes working day shifts on a full-time 32-hour schedule, with emphasis on PACS documentation, contrast administration, and collaboration with radiologists. Eligible for advancement and ongoing training within a large integrated health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• 1–3 years experience preferred; will consider new graduates.
• ARRT Radiography registration required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic, portable, C-arm and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Reviews patients’ clinical history and ensures appropriate orders and labs; consults radiologist as needed.
• Provides patient education.
• Operates imaging equipment and accessories to perform procedures.
• Positions patient to best demonstrate area of interest, ensuring comfort.
• Initiates basic life support when necessary.
• Determines radiographic technique and exposure factors.
• Adheres to ALARA principles and radiation safety.
• Documents XR/FL procedures and safety incidents in EMR/PACS.
• Provides supervision to radiology students and aides.
