Qualifications

• Graduate of JRC-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• One year of experience as a general radiographer preferred but not required.
• ARRT certification required within 3 months of hire.
• KBMIRT temporary license required prior to start date.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Uses consistent techniques to gather relevant information for exams.
• Assesses patient to develop an action plan for completing procedures.
• Performs pre and post exam patient education.
• Produces images according to established protocols with accuracy.
• Demonstrates radiation safety practices during examinations.
• Prepares for and assists physicians with intricate radiographic examinations.
• Ensures examinations are completed and ready for interpretation.
• Attends department meetings and participates in in-services.
• Maintains credentials and keeps current copies on file.
