Job summary

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
  • ARRT Radiography (R) certification.
  • IEMA Accreditation (Illinois).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain patient safety throughout imaging, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
  • Produce diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards.
  • Apply professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
  • Review images prior to exam completion and initiate corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
  • Administer contrast in accordance with policy, including screening for contraindications and patient monitoring.
  • Operate imaging equipment and maintain imaging room readiness.
  • Identify equipment performance issues and initiate follow-up through established service processes.
  • Coordinate exam flow and prioritize time-sensitive studies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in medical record and image archive system, including exam setup, image routing, result availability and charging accuracy.
  • Adhere to organizational values, ethical standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Uphold quality and safety standards within diagnostic imaging (radiation safety, MRI safety, infection prevention) to protect all.
  • Ensure a positive patient experience throughout care delivery.

  • Supports additional responsibilities aligned with patient care and department needs
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiography (R)
  • Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Accreditation
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
