Job summary

The University of Utah Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiography with attention to patient safety and image quality at the Farmington Health Center.

You will coordinate imaging support in ORs and clinics, assess patient conditions during procedures, and help train new staff within the department. This role emphasizes collaboration, quality, and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system.
• Current licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Utah.
• ARRT Registration as a Radiologic Technologist R.T. (R).
• Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic procedures and critiques radiograph to ensure high quality images.
• Applies the principles of radiation safety during the process of acquiring radiographic images.
• Facilitates and coordinates imaging support in the operating room, patient care units, and clinics.
• Assesses patient vital signs and conditions when indicated during procedures.
• Reports equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel and service entity.
• May assist in orienting, training, and mentoring new employees or students on department workflow, practices, policies, and procedures.
• Prepares, cleans, and stocks rooms with supplies and linens.
