Job summary

VCU Health is seeking a Radiology Diagnostic Technologist I-III to perform radiographic procedures and manage contrast administration with attention to safety and patient comfort.

The role requires ARRT certification and BLS, with a preference for 1 year of experience. You will follow imaging protocols, document findings, and ensure images are promptly processed and delivered for physician review.

Qualifications

• ARRT-credentialed radiologic technologist with BLS certification.
• Experience with contrast administration and safety protocols.
• Ability to interpret labs and patient data prior to imaging.
• Proficient in patient communication and consent.
• Familiarity with imaging equipment, QA, and PACS workflows.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures for diverse age groups.
• Safely administer contrast and manage potential interactions.
• Assess allergy risk and monitor patient response.
• Explain procedures using age-appropriate language.
• Adhere to protocols and document deviations or issues.
• Ensure timely post-processing, image display, and transfer for review.
• Cover open shifts as needed based on competency.
