Job summary

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required and BLS certified.
• Completion of a 6‑month orientation; one year of experience may be considered.
• Ability to perform diagnostic radiography procedures while ensuring patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform all the duties of a Diagnostic Technologist I.
• Safely administer contrast or other imaging agents as ordered.
• Assess patient risk for contrast reactions and escalate as needed.
• Review lab values prior to contrast administration and imaging.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients using age-appropriate language.
• Perform exams per imaging protocols while respecting patient comfort.
• Document deviations from protocol and patient-specific issues.
• Notify health care providers when immediate clinical concerns arise.
• Complete post-processing, image display, and transfer for physician review.
• Cover open shifts as competency allows.
