Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Omaha, NE is hiring a Radiologic Technologist for night shifts (36 hrs/week). Experience with PACS, RIS/Cerner, and Digital Dictation is preferred. On-call weekly rotation and on-site work at Nebraska Methodist Hospital.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Associate degree from ARRT‑approved Radiology Technology program required.
• Bachelor degree from ARRT program preferred.
• Current and maintained license from state (RAD.NE or RAD.IA) required.
• ARRT registration or board eligibility required.
• BLS certification preferred; must obtain within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient with two identifiers and confirm understanding of pending procedure.
• Provide comfort measures and assist patient positioning.
• Ensure accurate anatomical positioning with lead markers.
• Review orders for clinical and demographic consistency; verify accuracy.
• Assist physicians, patients, and coworkers during exams as needed.
• Maintain department workflow and provide status updates to staff.
• Monitor orders via the Online Worklist and document exposures/repeats.
• Maintain knowledge of RIS/Cerner, PACS, and dictation systems.
