Job summary

Down East Community Hospital in Maine seeks a Radiologic Technologist to operate X-ray, CT and related imaging modalities. You will prepare patients, assist radiologists, and ensure high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining safety and confidentiality.

Shifts include three twelve-hour night shifts per week. Requirements include graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT and Maine licenses, BLS certification, and ability to work with multiple computer systems.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT license.
• State of Maine license.
• BLS certification.
• One year experience preferred.
• Ability to use multiple computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic x-ray, portable units, digital fluoroscopic, c-arm and CT scan units to provide quality images for interpretation.
• Utilize computed radiography to view patient images.
• Utilize teleradiography for after hours preliminary interpretation of examinations.
• Prepare contrast agents for administration to patients.
• Assist radiologist with fluoroscopy and special procedures.
• Inform and prepare patients for examinations across age groups.
