Job summary

Down East Community Hospital in Machias, ME is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to assist the Radiologist and Imaging Manager by performing diagnostic radiography and related procedures. You will operate x-ray equipment, prepare contrast agents when needed, and ensure patient comfort and safety while delivering diagnostic quality images.

Role requires ARRT certification, Maine license, BLS, and a willingness to rotate shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT license.
• State of Maine license.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic x-ray, portable units, digital fluoroscopic, c-arm and CT units to provide quality images.
• Prepare contrast agents for administration to patients.
• Assist radiologist with fluoroscopy and special procedures.
• Instruct and prepare patients for examinations according to needs.
• Rotate weekend, holiday and call coverage as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of patients and staff.
