Job summary

Benefis Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to coordinate and perform age-specific radiologic procedures, ensuring patient safety and image quality. The role requires room setup, patient preparation, and collaboration with the care team to support efficient department operations.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT registration, an active state license, and BLS. Prior radiologic experience and familiarity with state regulations are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Performs age-specific patient assessments prior to and during radiologic procedures.
  • Prepares room and patient for procedures.
  • Performs radiology procedures and evaluates study quality.
  • Maintains effective communication with patient, family and staff.
  • Adheres to licensure, facility policies and procedures.

Responsible for coordinating and performing an age-specific patient assessment prior to and during Radiologic procedures, preparing the room and the patient for the procedure, and performing all Radiology procedures. Utilizes radiology equipment accurately, evaluates the quality of the study, and performs procedure management. Communicates with the patient, family and other healthcare workers and contributes to the efficient operation of the department. Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict. Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures.

Education/License/Experience Requirements
  • One (1) year of radiologic and imaging experience preferred
  • Graduated from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Current state license for Radiologic Technology required
  • Current BLS certification
