Qualifications

• Two years of Mammography experience or one year in a specialty with ARRT certification.
• California Fluoroscopy Certificate.
• California Venipuncture Certificate.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
• Adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views.
• Determine exposure factors based on patient size and body area.
• Operate radiographic equipment to produce quality images.
• Assist radiologists with fluoroscopy in appropriate exams.
• Prepare images for reading by radiologists.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of radiologic equipment.
• Practice radiation protection techniques and maintain records.
