Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform routine and some special imaging procedures under the supervision of the Director. The role involves patient preparation, image acquisition, CD processing, and adherence to radiation safety standards.

Responsibilities include ensuring high-quality images, assisting Radiologists, and maintaining equipment and environment; shifts are Day, with potential holiday/overtime coverage.

Qualifications

• High School required.
• Certificate graduate of allied health Radiography program.
• 1–3 years experience preferred.
• Ability to work in interruptions and fast-paced settings.
• Must respond to emergencies and alarms.
• Continuing education requirements: 24 CE credits over 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Position patients correctly for examinations and document appropriately.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images and ensure completeness of exams.
• Assist Radiologists during procedures as needed.
• Operate and maintain radiology equipment and QA calibrations.
• Process images and prints CDs when required.
• Maintain clean work areas and report equipment malfunctions.
• Provide patient and family education regarding examinations.
