Job summary

The role requires ARRT certification, state radiologic license, BLS, and experience in a fast-paced acute-care setting, with opportunities for shift differentials in evenings, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R) certification required.
• Radiologic technologist license in state of practice required.
• BLS certification required for healthcare providers.
• May be required to complete MA Competency Checklist and function as an MA in a clinic or InstaCare setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Ensures proper patient identification and order verification and prepares the patient for the exam.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality; assists and instructs students and other Radiology Techs.
• Provides patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses concerns.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.
