Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a per-diem Radiology Technologist to perform a broad range of radiology exams in an on-site Urgent Care setting. The role requires ARRT registration, MARadTech-Radiography license, and BLS certification, with 0-1 years of related experience.

Training opportunities for mammo are available with travel to Lexington. Open 7 days a week (M-F 8:00-7:30), some holidays, with emphasis on patient care and image quality, while maintaining strict safety and hygiene

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical training in Medical Radiography is required.
• Associate's degree in Medical Radiography is preferred.
• License MARadTech-Radiography is required.
• ARRT registration is required.
• BLS certification (AHA) within the probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients for diagnostic exams of various parts of the body.
• Enters instructions into computers, monitors and evaluates images for accuracy and completeness.
• Makes necessary adjustments when necessary.
• Evaluates radiographs for image quality and completeness.
• Responds to patient's physical and psychological needs.
• Explains procedures clearly to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Uses proper hand hygiene before and after patient contact.
