Job summary

Endeavor Health's Elmhurst Center for Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist II for full-time, 40 hours per week. Work hours are 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with on-call rotation and weekends/holidays.

You will operate radiology equipment, assist physicians, explain procedures to patients, and ensure quality imaging and customer service within established protocols. A strong patient-focused approach and relevant licenses are required.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or eligible for Illinois radiology practice.
• ARRT(R) certification pending within 2 years of temporary license.
• Current CPR (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiology equipment to produce radiographs for diagnostics.
• Assists physicians and staff with obtaining images and records via PACS/HIS.
• Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and build trust.
• Delivers high-quality patient-focused service in all interactions.

Hourly Pay Range

$29.68 - $46.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Location: Elmhurst Center for Health site
• Full‑Time, 40 hours weekly
• Hours: Monday‑Friday, 12pm to 8:30pm, on‑call schedule, rotating weekends & holidays

What You Will Do

Operates a variety of radiology equipment to produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes as directed by the Radiologists, in accordance with established protocols. Assists physicians and other clinical staff with obtaining images and other records using the Radiology PACS or hospital information systems. Explains procedure to patients, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects of job.

What You Will Need

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate’s degree, preferred
• IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure or “notice of IEMA compliance and authorization to perform medical radiation”
• At a minimum, must be a candidate for ARRT(R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) certification (i.e., Certificate of Program Completion or a letter from the Radiology Program Director of the accredited school.). Required within 2 yrs of temporary license date.
• Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
• Preferred: Prior x‑ray experience in a hospital setting. Knowledge of all current American College of Radiology (ACR)/JCAHO requirements to maintain compliance with all rules and regulations.
