Job summary

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in radiologic technology, ARRT registration, SC QA standards, and BLS within 30 days of hire. One year of experience is preferred; mentoring may occur.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree from an approved Radiologic Technology program required.
  • Minimum of one year Radiologic Technology experience preferred.
  • ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist and SC Radiation Quality Standards Association required; BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Educate and prepare patients for procedures with clear communication.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Obtain and document accurate patient medical history.
  • Position patient and use shielding and supportive devices as required.
  • Perform standard diagnostic radiographic procedures as ordered.
  • Perform fluoroscopy, C-arm in OR, and digital/mobile imaging as locations permit.
  • Select exposure factors for each examination.
  • Complete exams in the hospital information system.
  • Clean and maintain imaging equipment.
  • Mentor and/or train students or new hires as needed.
