Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of general radiology experience as a registered technologist.
• Associate’s degree in radiologic technology or equivalent experience.
• Hawaii Radiographer License, ARRT certification, and BLS from AHA required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiologic exams per departmental protocols, position patients, select technical factors, review clinical history, and consult with radiologists and nurses.
• Ensure patient safety, verify patient identity, maintain confidentiality, document in RIS, and screen for contraindications.
• Prepare sterile fields, contrast agents, and supplies; assist during fluoroscopic procedures; operate imaging systems; review/transmit images.
• Maintain equipment, report malfunctions, and ensure a safe environment.
• Provide compassionate patient care, explain procedures, assist with transport, and follow safety protocols, including radiation safety principles.
• Participate in resuscitation efforts, maintain supplies, rotate on‑call duties, and mentor new staff.
• Engage in continuing education, attend meetings, and review departmental updates.
