Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist II to perform diagnostic imaging exams with ARRT competency in a fast-paced environment at Saint Joseph Hospital, Denver. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality images and patient care.

The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure, and BLS, with 36 hours weekly and evening/night/weekend shift differentials.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R) certification required.
• Radiologic technologist license in state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required for healthcare providers.
• May be required to complete MA Competency Checklist and perform MA functions in clinic or InstaCare setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Prepares patient, verifies orders, and identifies patient correctly.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality; instructs students and other radiology staff.
• Provides patient education and ensures comfort.
• Practices infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and adverse reactions.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.
