Job summary

Advocate Health Rockmart Immediate Care is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, verify patient identity, document histories, and assist with contrast media. You will collaborate with a radiologist and other physicians to ensure quality imaging and patient safety.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an ARRT-recognized radiologic technology program, registry eligible within 1 year of hire, and BLS certified.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized radiologic technology program.
• Registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. BLS required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles as applicable to patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by the procedure and demonstrates correct positioning.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
